Playa Los Boliches- Fuengirola
Playa Los Boliches is one of the most popular and best beaches in Fuengirola. Like many other beaches, this beach has been awarded a Blue Flag award.
As well as sunbathing, enjoying the views and tranquility, there are plenty of other things to do. You can hire a pedal boat, water skis or a jet ski. There are also volleyball courts and if you get hungry, the beach bars are excellent. If you want to taste a real “espeto de sardinas” in true Malaga style, it’s here, the fresh grilled sardine on skewers is an Andalusian tradition best enjoyed with a cold beer.
The Blue Flag (Bandera Azul) is awarded to those beaches that are well-managed, nature-friendly, good water quality and high safety standards. Los Boliches is one of the widest beaches but has easy access to the sea with rows of wooden decks that are easy to walk on – especially when the sand is scorching hot during the hottest parts of the summer. The beach is wheelchair accessible and the easiest way to get to the beach is on foot, avoid using a car because in high season it is impossible to find a parking space.
Nothing tastes better than a cold beer and some tapas after a hot day at the beach and the best tapas bar is this ‘hole in the wall’ located on the promenade.
